Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds Season 9 launches December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, updates, and exciting new features. Prepare for cosmic vibes, futuristic tech, and a completely revamped minion lineup – it's a Tavern transformation unlike any other!

Key Features:

• Bob's Technotavern Gets an Upgrade: Season 9 resets ratings and introduces Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens let you reroll a hero choice at the selection screen, giving you a second chance at a better hero if your initial options are underwhelming. Say goodbye to Trinkets!

• Minion Reveal Schedule: The new season's minions are being revealed in stages:

  • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
  • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
  • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
  • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
  • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
  • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.

• Three New Heroes: Season 9 introduces three brand-new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz with his Galaxy's Lens ability.

• Minion Pool Overhaul: Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either joining or leaving the pool, drastically altering gameplay strategies.

• Damage Cap Adjustment (Solo): A new damage cap is implemented for solo Battlegrounds matches, starting at 5 damage in the early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4, and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

• Minion Release Schedule: Minions will be added to the game in waves:

  • December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs.
  • December 5th: Murlocs and Demons.
  • December 9th: Undead and Elementals.
