Helldivers 2 creator hints at possible collab with Warhammer 40,000
Following the successful crossover between the co-op shooter Helldivers 2 and the Killzone franchise, speculation has mounted regarding a potential collaboration with another iconic universe: Warhammer 40,000. The possibility of such a partnership has sparked considerable excitement among fans.
This excitement has, however, been tempered by some who believe Games Workshop would never allow a crossover with their Warhammer universe. Arrowhead Studios head Shams Jorjani addressed these concerns directly, stating:
"I can say that GW would love a crossover, we're big fans of [Warhammer] 40k ourselves."
Jorjani's statement has been interpreted by many Helldivers 2 players as a strong indication that a Warhammer 40,000 collaboration is a genuine possibility.
Helldivers 2's premium content now features carefully curated thematic partnerships, as exemplified by the Killzone 2 collaboration. The developers have clarified that such crossovers will remain infrequent, occurring only when they organically enhance the game's existing universe.
Players can earn additional Killzone-themed rewards through participation in the partnership's Galactic War community challenge. Success in this challenge directly impacts the rewards earned.
