Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment dives into the ancient history of Tears of the Kingdom, featuring beloved characters such as Zelda, Rauru, Sonia, and other Secret Stone holders. The narrative unfolds during Zelda's time-traveling adventure, where she allies with the last Zonai, including Rauru, his sister Mineru, and his wife Sonia, to battle against Ganondorf and his formidable forces.

The trailer showcased the unique abilities of these champions, from Mineru piloting her mech to Zelda's enchanting magic, Rauru wielding a striking sword-spear, and brief glimpses of other Sacred Stone wielders in action.

This marks the third entry in the Hyrule Warriors series, following the original Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which served as a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Age of Calamity was particularly noteworthy for its slightly unexpected take on the story, earning a 9/10 from us for being "a joy to play and discover" and "a blast from start to finish." It will be fascinating to see if Age of Imprisonment also takes a creative detour from the main storyline.
