Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, is critically ill. His family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his mounting medical expenses and living costs while he's unable to work.
According to a PC Gamer report, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family discovered him unconscious and barely alive in his hotel room after he failed to appear at a charity event he was scheduled to host for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd. Emergency responders had difficulty finding a pulse.
The GoFundMe campaign, initially aiming for $50,000, has already surpassed its goal significantly, raising over $144,791 from over 2,200 donors. Beyond his extensive video game work, Johnson is also a long-time public address announcer for the Washington Capitals and has acted in various film and television projects.
His impressive video game repertoire primarily features Bethesda titles. Recent roles include Ron Hope in Starfield. He's also lent his voice to iconic characters such as Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, multiple Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others. The outpouring of support from fans highlights the profound impact he's had on the gaming community.
