When's Cross-Play Arriving?

Patch 8, and with it crossplay, doesn't have a confirmed release date yet. However, a select group of players will experience crossplay and other Patch 8 features early via a January 2025 stress test. This test helps Larian Studios identify and fix bugs before the full release.

How to Join the Patch 8 Stress Test

Ready to be a pioneer of Baldur's Gate 3 crossplay? Register for the Patch 8 Stress Test through Larian's registration form. You'll need a Larian account. The registration process is simple and quick, requiring basic player information including your chosen platform.

Selection isn't guaranteed. Those chosen will receive an email with further instructions. Selected testers can provide feedback through dedicated forms and Discord.

This stress test also assesses the impact on mods, so mod users and creators are encouraged to participate. Remember: all players in your group must be in the stress test to utilize crossplay. Otherwise, you'll need to wait for the broader 2025 release.
