Kieran Culkin, renowned for his role in Succession, has been cast as the young Caesar Flickerman in Lionsgate’s upcoming film adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The casting news, which had been the subject of much speculation, was officially confirmed by Lionsgate on X/Twitter, putting an end to months of rumors and fan theories about who would take on the iconic role of the flamboyant and charismatic TV host in this eagerly anticipated prequel.

Sunrise on the Reaping marks another chapter in the expanding universe of The Hunger Games, set to premiere in theaters on November 20, 2026. This installment follows the timeline after The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2023) and precedes the events depicted in the original Hunger Games films, which starred Jennifer Lawrence and concluded in 2015.
