The curtain has fallen on a significant chapter in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance saga. After years of dedication, Tom McKay and Luke Dale, the voices behind Henry and Hans, have concluded their work at Warhorse Studios. Their departure was a poignant moment, brimming with appreciation, fond memories, and a sense of closure.
However, even as they bid farewell, the transition was already underway. While recording their final lines, Warhorse Studios simultaneously held auditions for new actors to assume the roles. The bittersweet irony—a send-off for one generation, the dawn of another—was palpable.
McKay, renowned for his portrayal of Henry, shared his heartfelt reflections on the unique bond forged during the project:
“In the creative industry, ‘family’ is often used loosely, but in this case, it was profoundly true. The relationships I formed during this journey are among the deepest and most enduring of my career.”
This sense of family resonated not only within the team but also served as a central theme within the game itself. Henry's tragic loss mirrors McKay's personal experience of losing his father, imbuing certain scenes with profound emotional weight.
