The White Wolf makes his final return. Production for The Witcher Season 5 is now in full swing, with new images surfacing online featuring Liam Hemsworth as the lead Geralt of Rivia, alongside both fresh faces and familiar returning characters.

These apparently leaked set photos—available through the fan site Redanian Intelligence—show The Hunger Games actor in full costume, sporting Geralt's iconic long blonde hair. Also pictured are longtime cast members like Meng’er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, who have been part of the series since Henry Cavill initially led the story. Hemsworth was confirmed to take over the role from Cavill starting with Season 4 and the upcoming fifth and final season back in October 2022.

In addition, set images reveal several new characters debuting in Season 4 who will continue to influence the story into the final season. Among them is legendary actor Laurence Fishburne (known for Morbius) playing Emiel Reigs.

Based on the leaked set photos, fans speculate that Season 5 may draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski’s “Tower of the Swallow,” where Geralt encounters beekeepers who direct him to druids. That said, with Season 4 still unreleased, the narrative could go in many directions—and there’s plenty of story left to unfold before viewers can piece together the clues these images offer.

Cavill isn’t the only departure leading to a recast. Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt’s father figure and mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. However, Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia’s replacement—and an official release date for Season 4 remains unconfirmed.
