Lies of P DLC and Sequel Announced: A Director's Letter Unveils New Content and Future Plans

Director Ji-Won Choi of Lies of P recently released a heartfelt message to fans, offering a glimpse into upcoming DLC and a sequel for the acclaimed steampunk Soulslike game. The message serves as a thank you to the community and a tantalizing preview of what's next.

Celebrating the game's anniversary, developer NEOWIZ shared Choi's letter, highlighting the team's dedication to creating the DLC amidst the Korean summer heat. Choi emphasized the importance of fan support in fueling their development efforts. He promised the DLC will expand upon the base game's strengths while addressing previous issues. He stated, "For the DLC of Lies of P and the sequel, we aim to do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow."

The most exciting reveal came with a piece of concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing towards a lighthouse. This mysterious setting hints at new challenges and a compelling narrative expansion. Accompanying the artwork, Choi shared a musical snippet from the DLC's soundtrack, a track titled "Lisrim" by onoken, previously composed in 2022. NEOWIZ owns the rights to both this track and the game's original score. A music video accompanying the track shows a character with a clockwork weapon navigating Victorian rooftops.

DLC Release Date and Future Plans

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime in the second half of 2024. The DLC will join four other NEOWIZ titles:

Previously, Choi released an eight-minute video showcasing early concept art featuring an industrial facility and a shipwreck, further hinting at the diverse environments players can expect in the DLC.
