For Magic: The Gathering enthusiasts, the wait for the new Final Fantasy set might feel endless, but Wizards of the Coast has just given fans a sneak peek to keep the excitement alive. Today's reveal showcased over a dozen brand-new cards, featuring iconic characters like Sephiroth, Yuffie, Cecil, Garland, Chaos, and more. This preview not only introduced new cards but also unveiled various art variations, complementing the already revealed commander cards: Tidus, Cloud, Y'shtola, and Terra.

The reveal also highlighted unique features of the set, including Summons, which are part of Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can summon for assistance in battle, as exemplified by Summon: Shiva in the gallery. Additionally, the set brings back double-faced cards, with Cecil showcasing his dual nature as both a Dark Knight and a Redeemed Paladin.

The Final Fantasy set will boast over 100 legendary creature cards, including 55 legendary borderless cards illustrated by beloved artists from Final Fantasy's storied history. This set is not only draftable but also Standard-legal, set to launch on June 13 alongside four preconstructed Commander decks. Each deck, themed around Final Fantasy games 6, 7, 10, and 14, will contain 100 cards—a blend of new Final Fantasy cards and existing cards with new Final Fantasy artwork.
