Adapters such as the XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper enable players to simulate gamepad inputs using a keyboard and mouse, significantly enhancing their performance in competitive modes, particularly when auto-targeting is enabled.

NetEase has defined these adapters as devices or programs that emulate gamepad control using a keyboard and mouse, which they believe creates an imbalance in the game. To enforce their policy, the company has deployed sophisticated tools that can detect the use of such adapters with high precision, resulting in immediate account blocks upon detection.

On another note, it has been observed that in Marvel Rivals, higher frame rates (FPS) can lead to increased ping. While this might not be highly noticeable with a low ping, a sudden jump to 150 ms can significantly impact gameplay if your usual ping is around 90 ms. This issue appears to be tied to the game's frame rate.

For now, gamers are advised to wait for a patch that addresses this FPS-to-ping ratio. In the interim, some players suggest capping the FPS at around 90 to mitigate the issue. While this might seem counterintuitive to players accustomed to higher frame rates in games like Counter-Strike 2, it's currently the recommended approach for Marvel Rivals.
