Marvel Rivals Developer Says There's Currently No Plan for a PvE Mode
Marvel Rivals players eagerly anticipate future content additions, particularly a PvE mode. Recent rumors sparked speculation, but NetEase producer Weicong Wu clarified that a full-fledged PvE mode isn't currently planned. However, he emphasized the team's ongoing experimentation with new gameplay modes. The team is exploring options, potentially a less intensive PvE experience, to determine the best fit for the game.
At the DICE Summit, Wu stated that while a dedicated PvE mode isn't on the immediate horizon, the development team actively explores various gameplay approaches. He suggested a "lighter" PvE mode, possibly a limited-time event, might be more feasible.
Despite the lack of concrete PvE plans, Marvel Rivals receives regular updates. Human Torch and The Thing are the next heroes slated for release on February 21st. Separate discussions with Wu and Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo also covered potential Nintendo Switch 2 support and addressed concerns about potentially misleading dataminers with false hero leaks.
