Demon Mode/Demon Gauge and Archdemon Mode

The Dual Blades feature a unique Demon Gauge mechanic. Enter Demon Mode for boosted attack, movement speed, and evasion, plus knockback immunity. However, this mode depletes stamina continuously and ends upon manual cancellation or stamina depletion.

Attacks in Demon Mode fill the Demon Gauge. Once full, you transition to Archdemon Mode, where the gauge decreases over time and is consumed by certain attacks. This mode unlocks powerful, gauge-consuming attacks.

Both modes can be used together, and when mounted on a monster, the Demon Gauge stops decreasing, providing strategic advantages.

Demon Dodge

Achieve a Perfect Evade to enter an empowered state that increases regular and elemental damage. This state allows attacks during dodges and grants a 12-second damage buff. Subsequent dodges cause damage as you spin forward.

Basic Combo

Chain three Triangle/Y attacks for a reliable combo: Double Slash, Double Slash Return Stroke, and Circle Slash. This is effective in various hunting scenarios. Alternatively, use the Circle/B combo (Demon Flurry Rush – Spinning Slash – Double Roundslash) to quickly fill the Demon Gauge.
