Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed — Officially This Time
The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially confirmed during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, alongside a new trailer. The August 28, 2025 release date, which had leaked earlier via the PlayStation Store, was officially unveiled. The leaked trailer also made its official debut during the State of Play broadcast.
An intriguing Ape Escape collaboration was teased, followed by the cryptic message "And More," hinting at further exciting crossovers to come. This first crossover appears to reference the original Metal Gear Solid 3, which famously included a monkey minigame where Snake used stun grenades and his "Monkey Shaker" gun to subdue the primates.
While boasting a new first-person perspective, *Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater* largely appears to be a highly faithful recreation of the original game. As IGN noted in its preview, "Metal Gear Solid Delta seems more like a very shiny HD remaster than the elegant remake it could have been.
