Konami producer Noriaki Okamura recently hinted to IGN about the possibility of a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (MGS4) remake within MGS Master Collection Vol. 2, alongside next-gen console ports. While acknowledging the significant fan interest in bringing the 2008 title to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Okamura remained cautious about confirming any specifics. He stated that Konami is actively considering the future of the series and couldn't offer concrete details at this time.

The possibility of an MGS4 remake has been a topic of much discussion, especially considering its PS3 exclusivity. The release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 last year, featuring remastered versions of the first three games on various platforms including PC and Switch, has only intensified the speculation.
