Minecraft 2 “Basically Announced” By Original Creator

Notch有意打造Minecraft精神续作
Notch在X平台上进行了一项投票，询问玩家更希望他开发一款融合了传统Roguelike游戏（如ADOM）和基于瓦片的俯视角第一人称地牢探索游戏（如《Eye of the Beholder》）的新游戏，还是开发一款“Minecraft精神续作”。结果显示，压倒性多数玩家（截至发稿时，28.7万票中81.5%）支持后者。
Notch随后确认自己“完全认真对待此事”，并表示他“基本上已经宣布了《Minecraft 2》”。他认为玩家确实希望他创作另一款类似Minecraft的游戏，并且他很享受再次投入自己热爱的创作中。“我不太在意具体先做哪个游戏（甚至是否制作更多游戏），但我确实知道自己正在制作一个游戏，所以我认为我绝对愿意尝试制作Minecraft的精神续作，并为此进行投票，”他补充道。
然而，需要注意的是，Minecraft的知识产权及其开发商Mojang在2014年已被微软收购。因此，除非Notch直接与微软合作，否则他不能合法使用任何与该知识产权相关的元素。但他保证，如果他专注于制作Minecraft的精神续作，他打算以一种不会“偷偷侵犯Mojang团队的出色工作以及微软正在进行的微软式改动”的方式进行，因为他尊重他们的工作。Mojang似乎也在创意自由方面占据主导地位，微软让工作室充分发挥其长处。
Notch也表达了自己对开发Roguelike游戏或Minecraft 2.0的担忧，表示精神续作并不总是能达到预期的效果。“我担心我的下一个游戏无论如何都会出现这些问题，并试图努力避免。所以为什么不做人们想要的事情，并且愿意以某种方式给我更多报酬呢？”
在等待Notch带来的Minecraft“续作”的同时，粉丝们可以期待2026年和2027年即将登陆英国和美国的Minecraft主题乐园景点。一部名为《我的世界大电影》的真人电影也将于2025年晚些时候上映。
