Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, will introduce Mister Fantastic as a playable character, facing off against Dracula. This marks the beginning of the Fantastic Four's arrival in the game, starting with Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman at launch.
Gameplay footage reveals Mister Fantastic utilizing his elastic abilities in creative combat, stretching to punch opponents, slamming enemies together, and unleashing a powerful, Hulk-like ultimate ability. While the exact release dates aren't confirmed, Human Torch and The Thing are anticipated to join the roster approximately six to seven weeks after the season launch. NetEase Games plans to release substantial updates mid-way through each three-month season.
Leaked information suggests potential abilities for the remaining Fantastic Four members: Human Torch may control the battlefield with flame walls and team up with Storm for devastating fire tornadoes. The Thing is rumored to be a Vanguard class character, though his abilities remain undisclosed.
Although speculation surrounded characters like Blade and Ultron, NetEase Games has confirmed that the Fantastic Four will be the sole additions debuting in Season 1. This suggests a potential delay for Ultron to Season 2 or later. The absence of Blade, a natural counter to Dracula, has also surprised some players.
