Launched in Steam Early Access in 2024, Fields of Mistria garnered widespread critical acclaim and quickly became a fan favorite. With a major update already released and another planned for March 2025, this $13.99 farming simulator is generating significant buzz. But is it worth purchasing in its current early access state? The answer, based on extensive playtime and overwhelmingly positive reviews, is a resounding yes.

Unlike some similar titles (like Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons), Fields of Mistria boasts richly developed NPCs, even those not involved in romance storylines. Each character offers diverse interactions, preventing repetitive dialogue. The unique character designs and seasonal outfits further enhance the game's charm, making it easy to connect with the town's inhabitants. The attention to detail is remarkable; for example, the small stick in Dell's autumn outfit is a testament to the developers' dedication.
