Following the apparent success of the Esports World Cup 2024, Moonton's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has officially confirmed its return for the 2025 competition. This follows the earlier announcement of Garena's Free Fire also returning.
The 2024 event showcased two MLBB tournaments: the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) and the MLBB Women's Invitational. Teams from around the globe competed in Riyadh. Selangor Red Giants emerged victorious in the MSC, while Smart Omega Empress defeated Team Vitality (holders of a 25-game winning streak since 2021) to claim the Women's Invitational title.
