Monster Hunter Wilds: A Second Chance at the Open Beta!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second opportunity arrives in early February, bringing improved features and a brand-new monster to hunt. This extended beta test offers a final chance to experience the game before its official launch.
Hunt a New Beast!
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the second Open Beta Test on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
This time around, players can tackle the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles. Character data from the first beta carries over, and can be transferred to the full game (though progress won't be saved). Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team wanted to give everyone a chance to play, and to address player requests for a repeat. While recent community updates highlighted planned improvements, these won't be included in this beta phase, as they are still under development.
