Monster Hunter Wilds has achieved phenomenal success, surpassing eight million units sold within its first three days—a record-breaking feat that makes it Capcom's fastest-selling game ever. Capcom's announcement highlights Wilds' exceptionally strong launch, significantly outperforming the five million units shipped by 2018's Monster Hunter World and the four million of Monster Hunter Rise in 2021.
This impressive performance isn't entirely unexpected. Monster Hunter Wilds soared past one million concurrent Steam players during its opening weekend, even surpassing Cyberpunk 2077 to become the seventh most-played game on the platform.
