NetherRealm Studios unleashes T-1000 and Madam Bo in Mortal Kombat 1 DLC.

Get ready for some liquid metal mayhem! NetherRealm has unveiled gameplay footage of the T-1000, the final DLC character for the Khaos Reigns expansion. The footage showcases a range of attacks reminiscent of Terminator 2, including blade and hook arm maneuvers, and a liquid metal transformation culminating in a Glacius-esque uppercut. Robert Patrick, the original T-1000 actor, provides the voice and likeness, lending authenticity to his clash with Johnny Cage. A highlight is a brutal Fatality reimagining the iconic Terminator 2 truck chase scene.

Adding to the excitement, Madam Bo, a fan-favorite character from the main storyline, joins the fray as a DLC Kameo fighter. Brief glimpses of Madam Bo's gameplay are shown, showcasing her as an effective assist character for the T-1000.

The T-1000 will be available March 18th for early access via Khaos Reigns, with general release on March 25th. Madam Bo launches March 18th as a free update for Khaos Reigns owners or a standalone purchase.

The T-1000 concludes the Khaos Reigns DLC, sparking speculation about future content. While Warner Bros. Discovery remains committed to the Mortal Kombat franchise, the possibility of a third Kombat Pack or additional DLC remains unconfirmed. Ed Boon previously stated NetherRealm's next project was decided three years ago, but promised continued support for Mortal Kombat 1. While many anticipate a return to the Injustice franchise, NetherRealm has yet to officially confirm this. Boon cited the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to Unreal Engine 4 as factors influencing the decision to develop another Mortal Kombat title before returning to Injustice. However, he explicitly confirmed that the Injustice franchise remains a possibility.
