My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is as fascinating as its gameplay. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, initially pursued a career in writing and filmmaking. A collaborative game project with a college friend fell through, but the underlying story remained. Driven by his vision, Alameen independently learned 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, ultimately bringing his concept to life. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

My Father Lied plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths. Players step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far from straightforward.

Blending ancient Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling, the game features simple point-and-click mechanics, stunning 2D visuals, and immersive 360-degree imagery. The puzzles are designed to be accessible and engaging, without overwhelming complexity.

Android Release Date

My Father Lied launches on PC on May 30th, 2025. Android and iOS versions are anticipated in Q3 2025. For more information, visit the official Kickstarter or Steam pages.
