Team Ninja has rolled out an extensive update for Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, now at version 1.0.7.0, introducing exciting new features such as New Game Plus, Photo Mode, and more. This patch, eagerly anticipated since Team Ninja's promise in January to address fan feedback, is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

New Game Plus allows players to embark on a new journey on any previously completed difficulty level, bringing along their arsenal of weapons and Ninpo from the last run. However, these items will reset to Level 1, and players won't be able to directly start on a higher difficulty using this feature.

Another welcomed enhancement is the option to conceal the projectile weapon on the player's back. This can be toggled in the Options menu under Game Settings, offering a cleaner visual experience for players.

In terms of gameplay balance, Team Ninja has made several adjustments: reducing the Hit Points of enemies in Chapters 8 and 11, increasing the number of enemies in Chapters 13 and 14, and boosting the damage of some of Ayane's attacks.

The update also includes a series of bug fixes, addressing issues encountered on high-performance PCs, game-breaking bugs in certain chapters, and other minor glitches. For a detailed breakdown, the full patch notes are provided below.

Ninja Gaiden Black 2, a surprise release during the January Xbox Developer Direct, is an enhanced version of the classic action game, powered by Unreal Engine 5. This engine not only improves graphic fidelity but also introduces new playable characters and enhances battle support features.

• New Game+: Begin a new game on a previously cleared difficulty with weapons and Ninpo from your last playthrough, though they'll revert to Level 1.
