Ninja Gaiden 4 announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster released
DOOM: The Dark Ages may have stolen the show at Developer_Direct, but another major announcement emerged from the event: Ninja Gaiden 4. This highly anticipated sequel to Koei Tecmo's acclaimed series is slated for a Fall 2025 release.
The debut trailer showcased the signature action-packed slashing gameplay featuring the return of the iconic ninja, Ryu Hayabusa. Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces innovative mechanics, including swift traversal using wires and rails, as demonstrated in the gameplay footage.
The game's setting is a visually striking cyberpunk city perpetually shrouded in toxic rain. Players will battle hordes of augmented soldiers and terrifying creatures from another realm as they strive to lift an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.
Adding to the excitement, a massive remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 has already launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is available via Game Pass. Team Ninja's UE5 port boasts completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments, incorporating elements from later series entries, and even adding three new playable characters.
