Nintendo Switch 2 fans are buzzing, but not about the console itself—the excitement centers on the rumored size of its game cases. A French retailer, Fnac, seemingly leaked the dimensions of a Take-Two Interactive game destined for the Switch 2, sparking a flurry of online discussion. As reported by Nintendo Life, journalist Felipe Lima noticed the listing, revealing dimensions slightly larger than those of the original Switch game cases.
A Reddit post by HertzBurst visually compares the two, showcasing the purported Switch 2 box size at 5.1 inches (13 cm) by 7.7 inches (19.5 cm). While not officially confirmed, this makes sense given retailers needing advance knowledge of product dimensions for display preparations. These larger cases would still be smaller than those used for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 games.
The Nintendo Switch 2 release seems imminent. Although Nintendo hasn't announced a specific date, speculation points to a launch between June and September. This aligns with ongoing hands-on events scheduled until June and Nacon's statement placing the console's release before September.
