The reveal trailer showcases detached Joy-Cons placed attachment-side down on a surface, connecting to flat-bottomed connectors. These then move across the surface, mimicking mousepad movement. A visible slider pad on one connector further supports this theory.
Pre-reveal speculation centered on a Joy-Con sensor, similar to those in computer mice. Nintendo hasn't officially confirmed this feature or its implications.
