Nintendo's Switch 2 is finally here, marking another chapter in their 40+ year history of gaming hardware. While initial impressions suggest a more cautious approach, we're eager to see what Nintendo has up its sleeve. This article delves into the Switch 2 trailer details and takes a nostalgic look back at Nintendo's impressive console history.

Over the decades, Nintendo has launched eight home consoles (NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, and Switch) and five handhelds (Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, DS, and 3DS). But which reigns supreme? This ranking considers both hardware innovation and the quality/legacy of each console's game library:

My personal "S" tier includes the NES (holding cherished childhood memories of Super Mario Bros., Mega Man 2, and Hook) and the Switch (praised for its innovative hybrid design and exceptional games like Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Odyssey).
