Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Announce New Legacy of Kain Encyclopedia and TTRPG

Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Crystal Dynamics has partnered with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker to expand the Legacy of Kain universe with two exciting new projects.

The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia

The first project, The Book of Nosgoth, is a comprehensive encyclopedia detailing the world of Nosgoth. Authored by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun, it promises in-depth coverage of locations, factions, characters, and a detailed timeline of the Kain and Raziel saga. Beyond lore, the book will feature behind-the-scenes content including concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, offering a complete retrospective of the entire Legacy of Kain series.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A Tabletop RPG

The second project is Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, a tabletop role-playing game set during the Sarafan Order's war against vampires. Using the MÖRK BORG ruleset, this mechanics-light TTRPG allows players to take on the roles of Sarafan warrior priests, engaging in vampire hunts and exploring Nosgoth's hidden history and spectral realms. The game features six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a bestiary of creatures, and the vast landscape of Nosgoth as a game setting.

Pre-orders Now Open

Both The Book of Nosgoth and Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan are available for pre-order on Backerkit, alongside a combined "Complete Edition" bundle.
