《After Inc.》是一款融合了模拟元素的“迷你”4X大型策略游戏，玩家必须在《瘟疫公司》事件之后从零开始重建人类社会。在充满生机和活力、但同时也是后世界末日的英国，玩家需要利用现代文明的残骸，在多个定居点中创造和维持文明。
在这个游戏中，废墟提供了重要的制作和建筑材料，如木材和废金属，用于扩张、创造和维持定居点。有多种建筑可以帮助重建人类文明，例如农场和木材厂。提供基本服务对于保持公民的幸福和营养也很重要。最重要的是，玩家可以选择五位领导者（Steam版有十位），他们拥有不同的能力来领导这些定居点。
