2024年11月26日，宝可梦公司打破了吉尼斯世界纪录中“最长的开箱直播”纪录。这场直播活动是为了庆祝宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏最新扩展包《猩红·紫罗兰-激流火花》的发布。
直播邀请了多位知名网络红人，包括Serebii网站站长Joe Merrick以及社交媒体影响者PokeGirl Ranch和Mayplaystv。这场直播在宝可梦的Twitch频道上进行了超过24小时。三位网络红人开封了1500包增强包，并拆开了其他宝可梦产品。根据宝可梦官方新闻网站的消息，直播结束后，他们共收集了2万多张卡牌。
宝可梦国际公司市场部高级总监Peter Murphy对这一成就感到非常自豪。“24小时的开包过程令人难以置信，我们很高兴能与优秀的创作者团队一起获得如此令人瞩目的吉尼斯世界纪录称号，”他说。

宝可梦集换式卡牌游戏的最新扩展包于2024年11月8日正式发售，将玩家带到了宝可梦《剑盾》DLC第二部分《靛蓝圆盘》的主要地点——特拉里亚。它包含了闪耀特拉宝可梦ex，包括拥有终极防御技能“金属防御”的阿尔宙斯ex。
这个新的扩展包还包含了标志性的龙系宝可梦，如帕路奇亚、帝牙卢卡、艾特纳多斯、阿罗拉椰蛋树ex和赤齿鲤ex。为了营造更热带的风情，游戏中还提供了插图稀有卡和特别插图稀有卡，包括阿罗拉三地鼠和霏丝，描绘了“平静的海浪和温暖的微风”。新的特拉宝可梦ex也加入了这个增强包，为集换式卡牌游戏玩家的卡组增添趣味，例如沙奈朵ex和沙漠蜻蜓ex。
