How to Barricade Windows in Project Zomboid

To effectively barricade a window, you'll need specific materials: a wooden plank, a hammer, and four nails. Once you've gathered these, simply right-click the target window. Your character will automatically begin securing the plank. Each window supports up to four planks for enhanced protection.

Locating the necessary supplies is relatively straightforward. Hammers and nails are commonly found in toolboxes, garages, sheds, and closets. Wooden planks are frequently discovered at construction sites, or you can salvage them by dismantling wooden furniture (shelves, chairs, etc.). Administrators can utilize the "/additem" command to spawn items.

Barricaded windows significantly hinder zombie access compared to unprotected windows. The more planks you install, the greater the resistance. To remove planks, right-click the boards and select "Remove." Note that you'll need a claw hammer or crowbar to perform this action.
