Call of Duty cheat provider Phantom Overlay has declared it will cease operations.

In a Telegram post, the cheat provider did not disclose reasons for the immediate closure, stating: "This is not an exit scam, and no external force could ever push me to deceive my customers. I’ll keep everything operational, secure, and accessible for another 32 days."

Phantom Overlay’s commitment to remaining online for 32 days aims to ensure users with 30-day keys receive full value. The provider also promised partial refunds for lifetime key holders.

The closure could ripple through the cheating ecosystem, as many other providers rely on Phantom Overlay’s infrastructure.

"Unbelievable!" posted a gamer on X, formerly Twitter (thanks, Dexerto). "Will the Season 3 cheat update actually function now?"

Others were doubtful, with one noting: "They’re likely just rebranding. They operate under multiple names. The cheating won’t end."
