PSA: Days Gone Remastered $10 PS5 Upgrade Not Available for Game Redemptions via PS Plus
Days Gone Remastered, a highlight of Sony's recent State of Play event, has sparked controversy among PlayStation Plus subscribers due to its $10 upgrade policy. Sony's confirmation that the upgrade is exclusive to owners of the PlayStation 4 disc or digital version excludes those who acquired the game through PS Plus.
This means PS Plus users, including those who accessed Days Gone via the now-defunct PS Plus Collection or its April 2021 Essential offering, must pay the full $49.99 for the PS5 remaster. This pricing detail has ignited a wave of online complaints from disgruntled subscribers.
The PlayStation Plus subreddit, for instance, is flooded with comments from users expressing their willingness to pay the $10 upgrade but now opting to skip the game altogether. Many argue that Sony missed out on significant revenue by excluding PS Plus users.
