Ubisoft Delays Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence
Ubisoft has announced further delays for the mobile versions of Rainbow Six and The Division, pushing their release dates beyond its fiscal year 2025 (FY25). This means players will likely have to wait until at least after April 2025 to get their hands on these highly anticipated titles.
The decision, revealed in a recent business document, aims to mitigate competition within the already saturated tactical shooter market. Ubisoft seeks to optimize launch performance rather than risk being overshadowed by other releases, including upcoming titles like Delta Force: Hawk Ops. The company emphasizes a desire for strong initial KPIs in a highly competitive market.
A Strategic Setback
While the delay is disappointing for fans eagerly awaiting these mobile adaptations, the announcement doesn't suggest significant development hurdles. Instead, Ubisoft prioritizes strategic timing to maximize the games' market impact.
