The Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault has unveiled its eight finalists, confirming its status as one of the premier eSports tournaments globally. An astounding 515,000 players from 221 countries competed in 9.5 million Tennis Clash matches, all vying for a spot in the Final Stage. The excitement builds as these elite competitors prepare for a memorable showdown.

Among the finalists is reigning champion Alessandro Bianco, who will face fierce competition from Hizir Balkanci, winner of the first Open Qualifier, along with Anyndia Lestari, Omer Feder, Adjua Thembisa Boucher, Eugen Mosdir, Bartu Yildirim, and Samuel Sanin Ortiz. The thrilling battles are set to take place on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum.

This year's tournament introduces an electrifying format where the eight finalists will be divided into two teams, each led by a tennis legend. Gilles Simon, a former ATP world Number 6 and last year's finalist, will captain one team, while former Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli will lead the other. The teams will engage in a series of matches, with winners advancing to the Winner Bracket. Meanwhile, those eliminated will have a second chance in the Loser Bracket, where teams disband, and the competition becomes a battle royale for the coveted title of Roland-Garros eSeries champion.

Adding to the excitement, Samuel Etienne, a celebrated French personality and Twitch streamer with over 1 million followers, will host the event. He'll be joined by esports expert Quento and former Tennis Clash number 1, Benny, known as GP365. The tournament will immerse viewers in the Roland-Garros experience, featuring a replica of the iconic Philippe-Chatrier court and custom outfits. Esteemed French umpire Aurélie Tourte will officiate, ensuring a series of thrilling matches.

The event will host 250 spectators in the auditorium and be live-streamed on Samuel Etienne’s Twitch and the Roland-Garros YouTube channels starting at 4pm CEST. Viewers can watch every match and enjoy interactive segments, featuring special guests who will engage in lively discussions and celebrate the intersection of tennis and eTennis.
