Saros Unveiled at the February 2025 State of Play
A 2026 Release
Housemarque revealed Saros during February 2025's State of Play presentation. This new game is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro sometime in 2026. Building upon the thrilling gameplay of their previous hit, Returnal, Saros introduces a fresh narrative centered around Arjun Devraj, portrayed by actor Rahul Kohli.
Come Back Stronger
According to Housemarque's creative director, Gregoy Louden, Saros was conceived to allow Returnal to stand alone as a distinct IP. Saros represents a new beginning, iterating on Returnal's compelling storytelling and mechanics. While Returnal offered a constantly shifting roguelike experience across dynamic biomes, Saros will feature persistent and evolving loadouts—weapons and suits—allowing players to truly "Come Back Stronger" and overcome challenges.
