Sony and HBO have confirmed the renewal of The Last of Us for a third season. While an official release date hasn't been announced, production is slated to begin this summer. It's important to note that this does not indicate a third game in the series; Naughty Dog is currently focused on their next project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

Both games have been remastered, with a new edition of The Last of Us Part 2 recently released on PC.
