Silksong Developer Reaffirms Release For Switch 1

Following the brief showcase of Silksong during the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, fans speculated that the game might bypass the current generation console. Originally announced in 2019 for PC and the first Switch, and later confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox, the game's future seemed uncertain after its Switch 2 reveal.

However, Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, took to Twitter (X) on April 8 to address these concerns. He confirmed that Silksong will indeed be available on both the original Switch and the Switch 2.

While specifics on the differences between the two versions remain under wraps, it's expected that the Switch 2 version will benefit from higher resolution and enhanced features of the new console.
