The Sims 1 and 2 might come back to PC very soon
The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a bang, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, unexpected additions are still possible.
A recent Sims teaser hints at the series' first two installments, sparking fervent fan speculation about a potential revival. While unconfirmed, Kotaku sources indicate a possible announcement later this week: digital PC re-releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.
The likelihood of console versions remains uncertain, though EA is unlikely to ignore the lucrative potential of capitalizing on fans' nostalgic affection.
Given the age of The Sims 1 and 2 and the limited legal avenues for playing them today, a re-release would undoubtedly be a welcome surprise for many long-time fans.
