New Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep: Catch Sneasel and Weavile!

Pokémon fans rejoice! New Pokémon have arrived in Pokémon Sleep. As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend. This guide explains how.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect Sneasel and Weavile in snowy locations. In Pokémon Sleep, they appear as Dark-type Pokémon on Snowdrop Tundra. However, unlike the main games, dual typing isn't replicated here.

Conveniently, they also appear on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, even those who haven't unlocked Snowdrop Tundra. If you're on a different island and want to catch them, use an EZ Travel Ticket to change your research location.

Sleep Types and Evolution

Both Sneasel and Weavile have the Dozing sleep type. This means they're more likely to appear on Snowdrop Tundra or Greengrass Isle if you also have a Dozing sleep type for the night.

Sneasel is easier to find initially. Evolving it into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.

Are They Worth It?

Sneasel's value lies in its berry-gathering ability (Wiki Berries) and its contribution to "Extra Tasty" dishes. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable addition to your Snowdrop Tundra team.
