Sony has unveiled the PC specifications for The Last of Us Part II Remastered ahead of its April 3 release, alongside details about PlayStation Network (PSN) sign-in incentives and new content for No Return Mode on both PC and PlayStation 5. Naughty Dog's announcement, detailed in a recent PlayStation Blog post, highlights the contributions of support studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy in enhancing the PC version, which follows a year after its PlayStation 5 debut.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Features:

• Graphics Enhancements: The game supports Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution, AMD FSR 3.1 and 4 with upscaling and frame generation, and a range of adjustable settings including Texture Quality, LOD Distance Range, Volumetric Quality, Shadow Quality, Ambient Occlusion, and Reflections Quality.
• Performance Options: Players can choose from VSync and framerate cap options, including an uncapped framerate.
• DirectStorage: This feature is included to reduce load times.
• Monitor Support: The game accommodates Ultrawide monitors with resolutions up to 48:9, suitable for triple-monitor setups.
• Resolution and Audio: 4K resolution is supported, alongside 3D audio for an immersive experience.
• Control Customization: Keyboard and mouse controls come with new customization options, including full control remapping, primary and secondary bindings, and an adaptive mode for combined keyboard and controller inputs. DualSense controllers offer full haptic feedback.

Sony emphasizes that these features cater to a broad spectrum of hardware, from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices, ensuring a top-notch gaming experience.

New Content for No Return Mode:

• Characters: Bill from The Last of Us Part I and Marlene are added, each with unique playstyles. Bill, as a "Smuggler," can access a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and receive double rewards, while Marlene, with a "Risk Taker" style, uses a Custom Assault Rifle and can reroute her path once per run.
• Maps: Four new maps enhance the mode's variety: Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest, each set in distinct environments from the campaign.

All new No Return content, including new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.

PSN Sign-In Incentives:

While PSN log-in remains optional for the PC version, signing in offers access to the PlayStation overlay, PSN Trophies, 50 in-game points for bonus features, and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. This skin is also unlockable on PS5 via the 2.0 patch with in-game bonus points.
