"Split Fiction: Co-op Adventure Nears 4 Million Sales"
Hazelight's beloved co-op adventure, Split Fiction, has now sold nearly four million copies, a testament to its widespread acclaim and popularity. Publisher EA highlighted this achievement in their latest financial report, describing the game's launch as "hugely successful" and crediting it as a key factor in their strong finish to the 2025 financial year.
The developer, Hazelight, expressed their excitement on social media with a jubilant post: "4 MILLION SOLD!!!!" They went on to thank their fans, saying, "So many of you have picked up Split Fiction already, it's amazing... Seeing the fun you have with our game and the love you show for Mio, Zoe, and each other warms our hearts here at Hazelight. And so many hot dogs made..."
**Split Fiction** immerses players in the diverse worlds of two fiction writers, offering a groundbreaking co-op experience where only one player needs to own the game. Launched in March, it quickly became another hit for Hazelight and designer Josef Fares, achieving the impressive milestone of selling over two million copies within its first week. The game is also set to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2, as Hazelight continues development on their next project.Adding to the excitement, a movie adaptation of Split Fiction is in the works, produced by Story Kitchen, known for their work on the Sonic films. They are currently assembling a talented team, including writers, a director, and actress Sydney Sweeney, who is set to join the cast.
