Monster Hunter Now's second Season 5 update, The Blossoming Blade, introduces a premium Spring Hunt 2025 event from May 24-25, 2025, featuring the elusive elder dragon Chameleos.

What Makes Spring Hunt 2025 Special?

This ticketed event (available for purchase in-game) offers non-stop Chameleos encounters without the usual cooldown between Elder Dragon Interceptions. Participants can also earn exclusive Chameleos-themed layered armor.

Event Exchange Rewards

Two special exchange hubs will operate during the event period:

• Spring Hunt Eve Exchange Hub: May 19 (9:00 AM) - June 2 (11:59 PM)

Hunters can collect event tokens by defeating large monsters and elder dragons from May 19-25, redeemable for rare materials including:

• Silver Rathalos Plate
• Glavenus Plate
• Wyvern Gem Shard
• And other valuable crafting components

Chameleos Hunting Tactics

Arriving May 24, this mist-shrouded elder dragon employs stealth mechanics and vision-obscuring fog. Key hunting strategies:

• Minimum Rank 100 required
• Available in 8★ Elder Dragon Interceptions starting 9:00 AM on event day
• Elemental weaknesses: Fire, Dragon, Blast
• Drops materials for the powerful Mizuha armor set

Exclusive Gear and Weapons

The Chameleos Venomist armor skill provides:

• 50% reduced poison/venom duration
• Increased poisoning efficiency

Craftable weapon types include:

• Dual Blades
• Great Sword
• Long Sword
• Hammer
• Gunlance
• Switch Axe
• Charge Blade
• Bow
