Squid Game: Unleashed is getting a major content update to coincide with the release of season two of the hit Netflix show. Expect new characters, a new map, and exciting challenges! Plus, you can earn exclusive in-game rewards by watching the new season!

Netflix's surprising decision to offer Squid Game: Unleashed for free to all players, subscribers and non-subscribers alike, before the holidays, has proven a smart move. Now, with this new content drop, they're incentivizing viewers to engage with both the game and the show.

Here's what players can expect starting January 3rd:

• A new map inspired by Mingle: One of the key mini-games from Squid Game season two is brought to life in this new game environment.

• Three new playable characters: Geum-Ja, Yong-Sik, and Thanos (the rapper, not the Avenger!) will be available throughout January. Geum-Ja and Thanos will have special in-game events on January 3rd and 9th respectively, allowing players to unlock them.

• Rewards for watching Squid Game season two: Viewers can earn in-game Cash and Wild Tokens by watching episodes. Watching up to seven episodes unlocks the exclusive Binni Binge-Watcher outfit!

January's Content Schedule:

• January 3rd: Mingle map and Geum-Ja character launch. The Dalgona Mash Up Collection Event begins, challenging players to complete Mingle-inspired mini-games and collect Dalgona tins (runs until January 9th).

• January 9th: Thanos arrives with his own recruitment event, the Thanos’ Red Light Challenge. Players eliminate opponents using knives to unlock him (runs until January 14th).

• January 16th: Yong-Sik joins the roster as the final new character in this update.
