The Friendship Heart System

Access the heart tab in your menu to view your relationships with each NPC. Reaching heart milestones unlocks special events, mailed recipes, and unique dialogue options. However, the heart display only reflects the overall progress; understanding the point system is crucial for efficient friendship building.

One Heart = 250 Friendship Points

Each interaction—talking, gifting, etc.—affects friendship. Positive actions earn points, while neglect or negative actions decrease them.

Accelerating Friendship Growth

The "Friendship 101" book provides a permanent 10% friendship point boost. Obtain it from the Prize Machine (9th prize) or (9% chance) from the Bookseller (Year 3 onwards). It costs 20,000g. This bonus applies only to friendship increases, not decreases.

Numerous interactions impact friendship points.

Daily Interactions:

• Talking: +20 points (or +10 if the NPC is busy). Daily conversation prevents friendship decay (-2 points/day, or -10 with a bouquet given, or -20 for a spouse).
• Bulletin Board Deliveries: +150 points with the recipient.

Gifting:

• Loved Gifts: +80 points
• Liked Gifts: +45 points
• Neutral Gifts: +20 points

• Hated Gifts: -40 points

Gifts given during the Feast of the Winter Star (5x points) or birthdays (8x points) significantly impact friendship levels. Choose wisely!

Exceptional Gifts: Stardrop Tea

Invite NPCs to the movie theater with a Movie Ticket (1000g). Movie and concession choices affect points:
