Stellar Blade's Latest Update Introduces Game-Breaking Bugs, But a Fix is Coming

The highly anticipated Patch 1.009 for Stellar Blade, featuring Photo Mode and NieR:Automata DLC, has unfortunately introduced several game-breaking bugs. Players are reporting softlocks during a specific main quest in an earlier dungeon, crashes while using the Photo Mode's selfie function, and rendering issues with new cosmetic items for Eve.

Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix to address these problems. They advise players to avoid attempting to force their way past the affected quest section and wait for the patch, as doing so could lead to a permanent softlock.

NieR:Automata Collaboration and Enhanced Photo Mode

Patch 1.009 delivers a substantial amount of new content. The NieR:Automata collaboration, born from the mutual respect and creativity between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, offers 11 exclusive items. Players can find these by interacting with Emil, who has set up shop within the Stellar Blade game world.

The addition of Photo Mode fulfills a long-standing player request. This feature allows players to pose Eve and her companions for personalized snapshots. New photo challenges have also been added to encourage experimentation with this feature.

Further enhancements include four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory (unlocked after completing a specific ending) to alter Tachy Mode's appearance, a "No Ponytail" option, lip-sync support for six additional languages, improved projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes.
