Ted Lasso Season 4 on the Way, Jason Sudeikis Confirms
Jason Sudeikis, star and producer of Ted Lasso, has officially confirmed that Season 4 is in the works. The announcement was made during a conversation with Jason and Travis Kelce on their New Heights sports podcast. The NFL brothers pressed Sudeikis for an update on the beloved Apple TV+ series, following the conclusion of Season 3 in summer 2023. Sudeikis revealed, "That’s what we’re writing. We’re writing Season 4 now. Ted’s coaching a women’s team.”

This confirmation, the first concrete update in nearly two years, will be welcome news for fans eagerly anticipating the feel-good soccer series' return. While details remain scarce, Sudeikis remained tight-lipped about whether Season 4 will be the final season or where the story will take place, even dodging Travis Kelce's question about Ted's potential return to the U.S. "Yeah, that’s too many questions, and that’s only because I don’t know," Sudeikis chuckled.
Meanwhile, Deadline reports that Juno Temple (Keeley) is in negotiations to reprise her role, joining Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brett Goldstein (Roy), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie), who are all set to return. Deadline's sources suggest filming for Episode 1 will likely commence in Kansas City before the story moves back to the UK, with production aiming to begin in July.
Apple TV+ is already generating buzz around Ted Lasso's return. While a release date and plot details are yet to be revealed, the show's official X/Twitter account has playfully acknowledged its extended hiatus with a tongue-in-cheek post.
