The popular RTS Thronefall by Grizzly Games is now available on Android. This minimalist game focuses on building and defending your small kingdom. It previously launched on iOS in early May, with Doghowl Games handling mobile publishing.

Thronefall initially entered PC early access in August 2023, with the full version releasing in October 2024. A free trial is available, and if you enjoy it, the full game can be purchased for $9.99.

What is the gameplay like in Thronefall?

It shares some similarities with They Are Billions. Each day begins by developing your kingdom—constructing mills, mines, houses, and defenses like towers and walls. Once prepared, you trigger nightfall.

Every night concludes with destroyed structures being repaired. You earn gold based on how much of your infrastructure remains intact.

Your monarch character stays at the heart of the action. You can rely on towers and crossbowmen to manage the assault, or you can mount up and engage directly using a bow or spear. Each weapon features unique special abilities in Thronefall.

Various perks also provide flexibility. For a traditional tower defense experience, select commander mode to reduce your hero's damage, emphasizing troops and towers. If you prefer direct combat, enhance the monarch’s damage and take control personally.
