Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show Adaptation

Ubisoft Remains Active on Future Driver Projects
Ubisoft has officially confirmed to Game File the cancellation of its live-action Driver television series. Initially announced in 2021 for exclusive streaming on Binge.com, the project aimed to translate the popular action-driving game franchise into a new medium, as stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik. The collaboration ended due to the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a movie-related subsidiary, in January. Ubisoft confirmed to Game File that the partnership with Binge for the Driver series is terminated.
However, Ubisoft assures fans that development continues on other Driver projects. The company states it is "actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise" and promises future announcements. Specific details remain undisclosed, so fans should stay tuned for further updates.
